County Louth School Enterprise Awards

Colaiste Ris had three students who represented the school today at the County Louth School Enterprise Awards final. The three students involved were Rachel Rice, Ellie McAvinney, and Ruairi Reynolds who all did fantastic work to make it through to the final.
The students managed to scoop two awards.
Ruairi Reynolds won the best sustainability award with his company “Keep it Reel”. Ruairi recycled old wire electrical reels and turned them into coffee tables. Rachel Rice won the best adaption to Covid with her company. Rachel provided online violin lessons throughout the pandemic.
Unfortunately, Ellie McAvinney did not win an award today. Ellie’s company, “ Ellie’s Sculpture Art”, created decorations and ornaments out of plaster molds. Ellie’s products were of extremely high quality and she was very unlucky not to pick up an award.
Well done to all three students who represented themselves and the school so well.
