1. Student self-service portal

The candidate self-service portal will re-open tomorrow (Tuesday) at 12.00 for you to review and confirm your final options for each subject. Candidates taking examinations will be able to change your subject level on the day of the exam; however, the level in each subject selected now will be your final level for the purposes of Accredited Grades.

Review all your choices carefully, have a look at the changes to the examination papers, and to make the best choice for you. All candidates are required to complete this process, even if your choices are unchanged since March.

2. College Virtual Open Days happening this week

This week sees virtual open days running in MTU Kerry Campus, Accounting Technicians Ireland, Rathmines CFE, Irish College of Humanities and Applied Sciences, Central College Limerick and Teagasc Try Horticulture Virtual Open Day.

3. CAO closing date for late applications

This Saturday May 1st at 5.15 is the final deadline for late applications to CAO. If you have not applied yet it will cost €60. The Change of Mind facility will then open next week which will mean that all applicants will be able to add/remove and change the order of their course choices until July 1st

4. Summer Jobs!

This summer will see unprecedented demand for ‘Staycations’ in the country. This means that there will be a large amount of opportunities for summer work in the Tourism and Hospitality sector. Get thinking about what you can do to bag a summer job when the Leaving Cert is behind you by reading this article.

5. Remember your 5-a-Day for Mental Health

It has been an extremely challenging time for the Leaving Certificate class of 2021, so it is important to look after yourself. In between your studies and over the approaching long weekend, try to take the time to practice some of your 5-a-day for mental health- Give, Connect, Learn, Take notice and Get active. Mind yourselves, you’re almost there!
